Birthday boy

(Boston is the one on the left, I think just about a month old here..with his cousin Jaxon, who was born only 21 minutes after Boston!)

My dear sweet littlest man,
Oh how I love you. You brighten my day so much. I am so thankful to have you as part of my family. I love how much of a little boy you are. You love water, you love mud, and you love getting dirty. You love cars, and bikes. You are obsessed with airplanes. I love how every morning, you open your bedroom door, walk across the house to my room, and can't quite figure out how to open my door, so you knock. and you knock. and you knock some more. - unitl I peel open my eyes, and come open it. You then climb in bed with me to "nuggle mama", but only for about 5 minutes, then you start tapping on my forehead and start saying "Mama, cereal bar, peaseee" Cereal bar. I get out of bed, so groggy (because you tend to wake up at 6:00 am, buddy, I sure can't wait until you learn what sleeping in means!), and I go and get you a 'cereal bar'. (aka. nutragrain bar, you are obsessed with these...you eat literally about 6 of them a day!) I then climb back in bed, and listen to you chow down on your cereal bar, only to listen for a minute or two, and I hear you say "mama milk...as you click your tongue for your 'k' sound. I love it, and secretly lay there and smile to myself, until you have tapped my forehead about 10 times...then I get up and get you a sippy of milk, and we move to the couch, to let everyone else get a little more sleep. You and I usually watch 'manny manny' or elmo together. We laugh, and tickle eachother, and sing Elmos world. We love singing together. We also sing quite a few rounds of popcorn popping on the apricot tree. You know that song by heart. You are finally loving nursery. I think sending you to your group at aspen grove did you in. You cried last week when I picked you up from nursery. You kept telling me "mama go away, class fun" sorry I had to ruin your fun class, by picking you up, taking you home, feeding you lunch and then laying you down for a nap. I am glad you think church is fun. You say your prayers so sweet. Everyday. "Heavenly Father, Thank you, dada, mama, Ashy, RyRee (not rylee). Bless me. Happy. Love you much. Amen" I love it. Simple and sweet. I love when you tell me that you are a big boy, and can walk by yourself. I have noticed lately that you are starting to beef up. Its about time. You have gained nearly 6 pounds in the last month. You are eating us out of house and home. I love it. I love that you are getting bigger eachday. I love how you admire your brother and sister. They are your light. You want to always be just like them. If you eat something that you don't care for, but see your brother eat it, you'll eat it just to be like him.
A few things that I love about you and want to remember:
You love elmo. I mean you are obsessed with this furry, red monster.
You have a recent love for trains, and everytime you see one, you yell choo choo at the top of your lungs.
you are extremly hyper. I think you are my most hyper child. I love your energy, except at 6:00 in the morning, but I love our bonding time we get in the mornings.
I love how I feed you breakfast when you get up, but then you need to eat cereal with daddy just an hour later. (no wonder you are beefing up)
I love how you love books. You always hold them up side down, and pretend you are reading them.
You take naps on Ashton's bed.
You love to play with Rylees babies, and she loves it too.
You love gum, but you are so messy with it, so I don't like to let you have it.
You love to tell daddy that he has a cute bum. When he wakes up in the morning and comes out to see us you say "good morning cute bum" - it makes me smile each time you say it. It never gets old.
You love to eat quesedillas.
You love chips.
You love milk, or Chocolate milk , when I let you have some...not that often though.
You love to ask me for nuggets, but I don't cook them that often.
You love your teddy, and blanket...all 3 blankets, and you drag them around everywhere. You have had this teddy since the day you came home from the hospital, and you are so attached.
You have to have your hair combed everyday.
You love flip flops.
You love gold fish crackers.
You love to play with my hair, and tell me "mommy preeetttty" - thanks bud, I love it. I hope you always consider mommy pretty.
I love how you see a picture of Jesus, and say 'hi Jesus'- your eyes light up each time you see a picture of Christ. I know you already have such a strong testimony of the gospel.

This birthday was extra special. As you know, you share this birthday with Jaxon, your cousin, but my cousin Whitney had a new baby girl on this day. Lucy RaNay. She is beautiful. I am sure you will think so too, when we see her, because you have a love for babies. This will always be a special day in our family. I am so glad you get to share it with two special people.
Boston Glen Brooksby, I love you so much. I am so privledged to be your mommy. I am thankful you came into our family when you did. You have been such a light in our lives. Please always stay as sweet as you are. I love you!
Happy two years little buddy! I love you so much.
Love Mommy
p.s. my sis took these pics of Boston and Jaxon. Aren't they adorable?!?

Happy Birthday Boston...hope you had a great day! Hope all is well in Cali. Ty asks everyday why we don't turn to Rylee's house anymore. Wish we could have gotten together before you left. Be sure to keep in touch and thanks for you and your families time with my little Taycee, she was blessed to have such a wonderful sitter :)
