I totally need to post pics, but I have been a slacker. My goal is Saturday to play catch up on the blog.
For now, I need to post what I am thankful for.
I am thankful for:
My mom. I love how I can call her and 10:00 at night, and she will talk to me, even though she has to get up early in the morning for work. I love how she is on board with me, with my new diet, and we are gonna get skinny together.
My Dad. He is the best dad ever. I love how he is so willing to help, even from a distance. I love that when I am sick, and broke, he is willing to pay the bill for the doctor. I love how he is so easy and content to talk to about problems or trials. I love how he has taught me that its okay to live a simple life, and if you work hard, it pays off.
My sister. and also my Best Friend. A day can't go by without me calling her at least once (usually twice or three times though). I am thankful she lives so close, so when I am in need of a diet coke, I can run to her house faster than I can run to Walmart. I love that my kids call her and her new husband their favorite. (ahem...Boston: "Look mom, Tourt and Uke...my favorites") aka Kourt and Luke.
My little Brother. I love his quarky text messages that keep me laughing through out the day. I am glad we have a special brother/sister bond, and we can talk to each other about anything. Really. The other day we had a conversation about runny poop, and how we hate it when it comes so fast that the toilet water splashes your bum. Really, who talks about that with their brother?!!?! I do!
My older brother. He is always willing to help when situations arise. He is more than willing to help move, or help fix something when it breaks. I love how handy he is, and am thankful I can call on him for anything. He is such a hard worker, and I love how hard he works to help support his family. He is such a good daddy to his two little boys, they adore him!
My husband. I am so thankful for the man I have married. I am thankful to have him back in my life on a regular basis. I missed him like crazy while he was commuting in Cali, and I am so thankful to have him around. I am thankful for the priesthood he holds, and for the blessings he is able to give me and our children. I am thankful for the way he makes me laugh daily. I also love how when he says "I love you" I can tell he truely means it. I love how when I am cooking dinner, or doing dishes, and we make eye contact from across the room, he always winks at me. I love in the early morning, how he will roll over and cuddle me in bed, its the best ever.
Ashton. He seriously is the best first child ever. He is also such a good big brother. He will read to Boston and Rylee. He will let boston play 'wegos' aka legos with him. He will let Boston pick a movie to watch, even when its his turn. He is so helpful to set the dinner table, take out the trash, make his bed. He does excellent with his reading and sight words. He is always good to get his homework done. He is one brave little dude. All the doctor visits and CT scan we did these last few weeks, and he didn't cry once. Even when they put the IV in his hand, he didn't even flinch. Also, when I tell him that he will have surgery to get the 'bump' (aka his tumor) he is totally fine with it, and said the stitches will make him look like frankenstein. whatever dude! I am just glad you are being happy and content with it all :)
Rylee. I love her. Such a princess. Tonight we were on our way to walmart, and she was totally rocking out to the radio, and she totally knew the songs. I loved it. I had no clue she even knew the words, but she did. She loves to dance, and I love that. Although, she wants to take Karate lessons....I am thankful for her sweet personality. I am thankful that she is always so happy in the mornings. She always wakes up with a smile. I love it.
B-man. This is the most rambunctious little 2 year old you will ever meet. He is so spunky and full of life. He ask so many questions, which I am thankful for. He is always wanting to know "why" "whats that" He knows all his ABC's and the sounds they make. He can count to twenty, and knows most shapes. I am thankful he is such a smart boy, especially after a rough start being born early. I am thankful for his kisses. I am thankful for his morning snuggles, and still, his love for "cereal bars".
My home. Its not a house. Its a home. We have lots of love, laughter, and good memories here. I am thankful for it. I am thankful for great neighbors, and feel incredibly blessed that we got this town home when we did. The lord saved it for us. We feel like this is where we need to be.
My mini van. Yes I said it. I love my van. I never thought I would love my van, but I do. I love that my kids can get in and out by themselves, and I love that the doors can open can close with the touch of a button. I am extremly thankful for the DVD player that entertains my kids on trips.
The Scriptures. I will be the first to admit it, we don't read every night, although we try to, but I am so thankful for the scriptures, and the peace they bring to me and my family. For the blessings we receive when we read them, and for the spirit that enters our home, when we read them. I am thankful for my kids, having a desire to read them (they remind us often that we missed scriptures, and we have to read them). I am thankful for many answers I have found to prayer, while reading the scriptures.
There is so much to be thankful, this list could go on and on. I am blessed in my life, and at this time of year, I think we all need to be reminded how blessed we are. I hope you all have a great turkey day, and take a moment to remember your blessings and what you are thankful for. I promise on saturday I will update and post lots and lots of pictures.
