The lesson of the week seems to be...

Gossip. Gosh maybe this is a great FHE lesson too! After reading my friends blog here ....it seems we have all had trial and error on this matter. She posted an awesome quote, that hit me hard. I hope she doesn't mind me taking it from her blog, and posting it here for all to see:

From Michael Berg:
  • Most of us don’t give much thought to the things we say. We assume that once we've said something, it’s over and done with. Spiritually, this is not true. Words are energy and they live on. The comments flowing out of our mouths do not simply disappear into thin air. They remain with us at all times, hindering or helping our spiritual growth.
As a great Kabbalist once said, “Pay more attention to what goes out of your mouth than to what goes in.”

Without a doubt, we are each constantly thrust into interactions with difficult people, leading us to want to judge and see their worst qualities. However, it is in our own best interest to fight this innate tendency of focusing on the negativity we so plainly see and instead to speak only of the good.

Gossip. I hate it. I like those quotes. They both hit close to home for me. Thanks Robyn. :)

So glad you posted this! To be honest I have had a bad day of gossip...hate when I give in to the temptation! These quotes are awesome...definitely going on the fridge to help me remember to be a lot better!

I'm glad you shared this! After he saw all the responses i got to that post, Tyler was so surprised to hear that so many of my friends were struggling with it. I wasn't! Although I was saddened by it. Unfortunately it's something that we have to deal with as women especially. Way to go for standing up for someone who was getting bashed. That's not easy to do! Somehow it makes you feel like YOU'RE the one saying something that shouldn't be said, when in fact it's the other way around. So crazy. Thanks for joining me in my goal.
