So, I have a friend who just had a baby at 25 weeks and 1 day. This baby has bleeding on the brain, and is ofcourse under intensive watch and care in the NICU. IF this baby survies the estimated time it will be in the NICU is 4 months. Having Boston in the NICU, was horrible, and that was only 9 days. My friend (Nikki) is, like most of us, tight on money. She cannot afford to take 4 months (and maybe more) off of work. I am trying to get some money put together for her. Whether she uses this money to pay medical bills (because I knwo that the NICU is expensive, our cost after insurance for Boston was 18,000!- we just got done paying him off- its taken a whole year- and to alot of people that would take a few years), or if she uses the money to pay her regular bills- so that she can stay by little Nathans side for longer. I am just trying to collect money for her needs.
I was trying to think of something I could do to help her out, and something that would make you strangers out there want to donate. So, I have come up with a plan. As most you of you know, I sale vinyl lettering. I am pretty good at what I do, if I do say so myself. I have many many designs to choose from, and I also do custome work. Right now until the end of July- I will do buy one get one half off of anything! All the money made for the month of July will go in a fund for Nikki. This is a good chance to get some Christmas shopping done for family and friends- you can just set it aside until Christmas time, and enjoy the holiday- instead of worrying about gifts! Plus, the money will go to a good cause- helping someone who is in much need right now. If you don't want to buy any vinyl you can always just donate. Really, I know that Nikki is a stranger to you- but if you could reach into your heart and help her. She is a wonderful friend, and I know she would do something like this in return. She is the type of person who will pay it forward. Nikki also has a little boy who just turned one; Mathew, who I am sure could use a few things to help him feel special as well, so if you have any toys or clothes you want to donate just drop them by to me! He is in size 18 month clothes!

Hey Meghan its Chrissy I was reading your blog about Nikki and I would love to help in an way I can I will be coming to Utah for the 4th so if you can make some stuff for me I can give the money to you or make it before I come down there I will be in Utah for a week. Wow that is really nice of you Meghan. I would love to order something. I can't believe you had to pay that much for Boston and congrats on getting it paid off so soon. We are still paying on Easton. Kids sure can be expensive but they sure are worth it.

Hey Meghan! I know, the hours we spent playing "Life" were so much fun! It was always our goal to see who could end up with the most kids. :) I also remember just playing with our dolls (I always wanted one like you and Kourtney's!) and jumping on your tramp making up dances to "Achy Breaky Heart". I loved hanging out with you, Meg! :)
