My Mother

Okay, I know this isn't the best pic, but this is what I had on hand, so I'm gonna use it ;) This is my mom (this picture was taken last summer when we threw her a suprise birthday party for her 50th- she looks great huh?) I love her. I just wanted to share a few good points that I love about her :

  • She calls me everyday on her drive home from work- just to talk. I love it! I look forward to that call every single day. (espcially after tending kids all day, and having no adult interaction)
  • She is an amazing cook. I hope to someday be as good as her, I am sure Casey would appriciate that ;)
  • She loves my kids ALMOST as much as I do, and spoils them every single time she sees that. This is where most of their clothes and toys come from!
  • She was always my mother first, and my friend second- which she has taught me to do the same with my daughter.
  • She inspires me
  • She has taught me her love of the gospel and taught me how to gain a testimony for myself
  • She taught me how to clean- although my house doesn't always show it!
  • She taught me how to respect myself, by eating healthy and having healthy habits
  • She taught me to LOVE reading. I could finish a book in a couple hours, if I didn't have 5 or 6 kids tugging on me constantly! (gotta love the daycare kids!)
  • She taught me how to love- although we did have trials at times understanding eachother!
  • She taught me to stand up for what I believe in and what I know is right.
  • She taught me to love to shop! I loved the days that she would excuse me from school to go up to SLC or Provo and just shop! I plan to have some of those days with my daughter too! Thanks mom!
  • She taught me to be a good wife to my wonderful husband.
  • She loves Casey and respects him as my husband...

This list could go on and on. I love my mom so much! She is always there for me, even though we live many miles apart. I wish she lived closer *sigh*. I am so thankful for her! I hope you have a wonderful Mothers Day, mom! Thanks for everything!

Those are beautiful sentiments. I hope E can say even a few of those things about me someday.
